Sara Chiala's high academics could get her into just about any college in the country. With her softball skills and work ethic, she now gets to be play and attend Whittier College in Southern California (Yes...near Disneyland!)
This 2020 senior (Sting 18G Gron) had some great things to say about her choice to become a Whittier Poet. Sara writes, "I am so beyond excited to call Whittier my home for the next 4 years. When I first toured Whittier it was my first summer season with Sting and I really didn’t know what kind of school I was looking for until I got there and I knew it was everything I wanted especially the close knit family feeling. From then, every school I went to never quite gave me that same feeling I had when I was at Whittier. With the support of my family, friends/teammates and amazing coaches this dream was able to come true and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a poet and get a great education while getting to continue to play the sport I love!"
