2017 Archbishop Mitty Senior, Lauren Lopez, knew she wanted to find a great school to pursue an accounting degree while also playing collegiate softball. All of those things finally led her to join the Sting last fall. Even though she was a little behind in the recruiting game, Lauren's hard work on and off the field and her diligent of following of "The Sting Process" paid off.
Her determination and good grades in school allowed her to end the fall season with 2 different college opportunities to choose form. After visiting both schools, weighing all the factors, and talking to her family, Lauren chose to be an Eagle at Concordia University Irvine.
Concordia has a beautiful campus along with a top notch academic program. On top of that, the softball team was NAIA National Champions in 2013 and have since moved to the NCAA-Division II PacWest Conference. Lauren will join former Mitty teammate and Sting Alumni, McKinsey Thorpe at Concordia.
