2020 senior, Jade Henry, will be leaving home in a few months and heading North to attend college and play softball for the Chico State Wildcats. It was no coincident that the Wildcats head coach, Angel Shamblin, got to witness Jade slam back-to-back monster homeruns over the centerfield fence this past weekend...because Jade does this often. She is part of the Sting 18G-Gron team and will be the first Sting player in recent history to play for NCAA playoff perennial Chico State.
Jade writes: “I’m so beyond excited to have my dream of playing college softball come true. I’ve worked for this moment my whole life and I can’t believe it’s actually happening. Since the first time I stepped on Chico’s campus I fell in love. I first visited for a camp in the beginning of fall and I cannot explain how much I enjoyed working with the players along with Coach Shamblin. I just want to thank my parents, teammates, friends, and coaches for helping me along the way and supporting me. I would not be going to Chico if it wasn’t for them and I’m so thankful. GO WILDCATS!” Congratulations Jade! We are proud to have you represent the Sting!
